Texteditor
Ein Texteditor (von ‚Inhalt‘ und für ‚Herausgeber‘ oder ‚Erzeuger‘) ist ein Computerprogramm zum Bearbeiten von Texten. Der Editor lädt die zu bearbeitende Textdatei und zeigt ihren Inhalt auf dem Bildschirm an. Durch diverse Aktionen können die Daten dann bearbeitet werden. Zu diesen Aktionen kann das Kopieren, Einfügen und Löschen gehören. Eine besondere Form zur Bearbeitung von HTML-Dateien sind HTML-Editoren.

Teksteditor
Een teksteditor is een computerprogramma waarmee onopgemaakte digitale tekst (platte tekst, bijv. gecodeerd als ASCII of Unicode) bewerkt kan worden. Een tekstverwerker heeft daarentegen tot doel om opgemaakte tekst te maken.

Un éditeur de texte est un logiciel destiné à la création et l'édition de fichiers textes. Chaque système d'exploitation fournit un éditeur, tant son usage est courant, voire incontournable pour certaines tâches informatiques de base comme l'administration de système et le développement de logiciels.

Edytor tekstu
Edytor tekstu – program komputerowy ukierunkowany zasadniczo na samo wprowadzanie lub edycję tekstu, a nie na nadawanie mu zaawansowanych cech formatowania (do czego służy procesor tekstu). W zależności od zastosowań, edytory tekstu nie mają w ogóle możliwości zajmowania się wyglądem i formatowaniem tekstu, skupiając się tylko na wprowadzaniu samych znaków, lub też mają te możliwości bardzo ograniczone.
