The Audience (2013 play), will write the script with director Stephen Daldry also involved. The Crown, the most expensive drama ever made by the US streaming company and its first to be made in the UK, will trace the life of the British monarch from her wedding in 1947 to the present day. It will span 60 episodes over six series with Claire Foy, last seen as Anne Boleyn in the BBC’s Wolf Hall, playing the Queen in the early part of her reign.
