Twice (, stylized as
TWICE) is a
multi-national K-pop girl group formed by
JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show
Sixteen. Selected from a pool of sixteen JYP trainees, the group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo,
Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and
Tzuyu. The name Twice was chosen because members will be able to "wow their fans once through their ears and twice through their eyes." They debuted on October 20, 2015, with the mini-album
The Story Begins.
