The power ballad was the second English language single released from the album, and it features lyrics by Shakira and music by her and Lester Mendez; both are also the producers of the song. Lyrically, the song tells the story of the unconditional love that a woman has for her boyfriend, with her claiming she is worthy of his love for being a good girl.
