Veil of Maya
Veil of Maya is an American deathcore band, formed in ChicagoIllinois by members Marc Okubo and Sam Applebaum in 2004. The group is currently signed to Sumerian Records and has released five full-length studio albums. They are considered to use elements of djent. The name of the band is derived from a song of the same name released by Cynic in 1993. The band originally employed multiple guitar players, but since 2007 Okubo has been the sole guitarist.
