Wrestling

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns,  joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. There are a wide range of styles with varying rules with both traditional historic and modern styles. Wrestling techniques have been incorporated into other martial arts as well as military hand-to-hand combat systems.

Wrestling (engl. Ringen, im deutschen Sprachraum auch Catchen in Anlehnung an den älteren Begriff Catch Wrestling), ist eine besonders in Japan, den USA und Mexiko populäre Schaukampf-Sportart. Der Sieger steht schon vor dem Match fest, die Abläufe werden teilweise improvisiert und mit Showelementen und Storylines angereichert. Trotz des Showcharakters kommt es bei den Akteuren immer wieder zu Verletzungen.

Ringen ist ein Kampf- und Kraftsport mit Ganzkörpereinsatz ohne weitere Hilfsmittel.

La Lucha libre profesional es un deporte espectáculo, que combina disciplinas de combate y artes escénicas, basándose en ellas para representar combates cuerpo a cuerpo, por lo general tienen historias y rivalidades que enfrentan a los (o Rudos) y a los Face (o Técnicos) siendo los primeros quienes representan al villano, y los segundos al héroe; quienes escriben las rivalidades y planean los combates son denominados bookers, a pesar de ser los que desarrollan prácticamente todo un show evento, la coreografia de combate no es hecha por ellos, sino por los mismos luchadores.

Wrestling is een Amerikaanse film uit 1892. De film werd gemaakt door Thomas Edison en toont twee mannen die aan het worstelen zijn.

Worstelen is een vecht-/krachtsport waarbij niet geslagen of geschopt mag worden, men tracht de tegenstander door gereglementeerde grepen zover te brengen dat hij met beide schouders tegelijk de grond raakt.

La lutte est une discipline sportive et un sport de combat. Il en existe un très grand nombre de variétés mais on peut en distinguer trois principales : la lutte libre (LL), la lutte gréco-romaine(GR) et la lutte féminine(LF).
