ane

Ane is a large village in Ozolnieki Municipality, Latvia. The village is located on the Lielupe River approximately 38 km from the capital city of Riga and 7 km from city of Jelgava. It is known for the amount of clay that is dug up in local lakes. There is a brick factory, which was very prominent during the Soviet era; since the factory was privatised it still produces bricks albeit on a reduced scale. The town was very well known in the Soviet Union due to this. It is sometimes referred to by locals as "Sarkanais mals" literally meaning "Red clay".

Añe is a municipality located in the province of Segovia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 126 inhabitants.

The suffix -ane is used in organic chemistry to form names of organic compounds where the -C-C- group has been attributed the highest priority according to the rules of organic nomenclature. The final "-e" disappears if it is followed by a suffix that starts with a vowel, e.g. "propanol".

Ane (Nedersaksisch: Aone) is een buurtschap in de gemeente Hardenberg in de Nederlandse provincie Overijssel; het telt ongeveer 500 inwoners. In het landschap bevinden zich enkele hallenboerderijen: dit boerderijtype, bestaande uit een middenbeuk met zijbeuken, is van architectonisch, cultuurhistorisch en landschappelijk belang.
