The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a collection of texts sacred in Judaism and Christianity. It is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations. Jews and Christians consider the books of the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration or an authoritative record of the relationship between God and humans.

Alan Harvey Bible (* 10. November 1909 in Lovelock, Nevada; † 12. September 1988 in Auburn, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Politiker der Demokratischen Partei und von 1954 bis 1974 Senator im Senat der Vereinigten Staaten für Nevada.

Als Bibel (altgr.  biblia „Bücher“; daher auch Buch der Bücher) bezeichnet man eine Schriftensammlung, die im Judentum und Christentum als Heilige Schrift mit normativem Anspruch für die ganze Religionsausübung gilt.

De Bijbel is het heilige boek van de christenen. Het woord 'bijbel' stamt van het Griekse woord βιβλία biblia (boeken), dat een meervoud is van βιβλίον biblion (boek; oorspronkelijk het verkleinwoord van βίβλος dat papyrus(plant) of boek betekent). Deze betekenis gaat weer terug op de Fenicische stad Byblos, die een omslagplaats was voor bast, de grondstof voor papyrus.

La Bible est un ensemble de textes considérés comme sacrés par le judaïsme et le christianisme. Les différents groupes religieux peuvent inclure différents livres dans leurs canons, dans un ordre différent. Les textes des livres eux-mêmes ne sont pas toujours identiques d'un groupe religieux à l'autre.
