Carbon

Carbon (from "coal") is a chemical element with symbol C and atomic number 6. On the periodic table, it is the first (row 2) of six elements in column (group) 14, which have in common the composition of their outer electron shell. It is nonmetallic and tetravalent—making four electrons available to form covalent chemical bonds. There are three naturally occurring isotopes, with and being stable, while is radioactive, decaying with a half-life of about 5,730 years. Carbon is one of the few elements known since antiquity.

Kohlenstoff

Kohlenstoff (von urgerm. kul-a-, kul-o(n)- ,Kohle‘) oder Carbon (von lat. carbo ,Holzkohle‘, latinisiert Carboneum oder Carbonium) ist ein chemisches Element mit dem Elementsymbol C und der Ordnungszahl 6. Im Periodensystem steht es in der vierten Hauptgruppe, bzw. der 14. IUPAC-Gruppe oder Kohlenstoffgruppe sowie der zweiten Periode.

Koolstof

Koolstof is een scheikundig element met symbool C en atoomnummer 6. Het is een niet-metaal dat in verschillende vormen, allotropen, voorkomt. In de natuur komen de allotropen diamant, grafiet, amorfe koolstof en het zeldzame lonsdaleïet voor.

کربن

کربن عنصری شیمیائی در جدول تناوبی با نشان C و عدد اتمی ۶ است. کربن عنصری غیر فلزی و فراوان، چهارظرفیتی و دارای چندین دگرشکل می‌باشد، از جمله:

الماس، سخت‌ترین کانی شناخته شده و دارای بالاترین سرعت صوت و رسانایی گرمایی در میان مواد
گرافیت، یکی از نرم‌ترین مواد
فولرن ، مولکول‌هایی در حد بیلیونیوم متر هستند و اشکال مختلفی دارند.

دوده چراغ از سطوح کوچک گرافیت تشکیل شده. این سطوح بصورت تصادفی توزیع شده، به همین دلیل کل ساختمان آن همسانگرد (ایزوتروپیک) است.
