Ein Fass – auch Tonne genannt (vom lat. „Tunna“) – ist ein aus Holz, Metall oder Kunststoff hergestellter, großer, walzenförmiger (zylindrischer), oft gebauchter Behälter. Es dient in der Regel der Aufbewahrung von Flüssigkeiten während einer bestimmten Zeitdauer in meist mittelgroßen Mengen (ein paar Liter bis ein paar hundert Liter).
