A classic is an outstanding example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality. The word can be an adjective (a classic car) or a noun (a classic of English literature). It denotes a particular quality in art, architecture, literature, design, technology, or other cultural artifacts. In commerce, products are named 'classic' to denote a long-standing popular version or model, to distinguish it from a newer variety. Classic is used to describe many major, long-standing sporting events. Colloquially, an everyday occurrence (e.g. a joke or mishap) may be described in some dialects of English as 'an absolute classic'.

Classic rock is a radio format which plays popular rock music particularly from the late 1960s onward.

Classic rock is a radio format which developed from the album-oriented rock (AOR) format in the early 1980s. In the United States, the classic rock format features music ranging generally from the late 1960s to the late 1980s, primarily focusing on commercially successful hard rock popularized in the 1970s. The radio format became increasingly popular with the baby boomer demographic by the end of the 1990s.

De Iljoesjin Il-62 (Russisch: Ильюшин Іл-62) (NAVO-codenaam: Classic) is een Russisch passagiersvliegtuig voor lange afstanden. De eerste vlucht vond plaats in 1963 en het toestel kwam op 15 september 1967 bij Aeroflot in dienst.
