Closing (im Deutschen auch Schließen) ist eine morphologische Basis-Operation in der digitalen Bildverarbeitung. Anwendung findet der Operator beim Filtern von Bildern; durch das Schließen lassen sich lokal begrenzte dunkle Störungen in einem Bild unterdrücken oder kleine dunkle Strukturen gezielt herausfiltern.
