Cooperative
A co-operative (also known as co-op, cooperative or coop) is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled business. Cooperatives include non-profit community organizations and businesses that are owned and managed by the people who use their services (a consumer cooperative) or by the people who work there (a worker cooperative) or by the people who live there (a housing cooperative), hybrids such as worker cooperatives that are also consumer cooperatives or credit unions, multi-stakeholder cooperatives such as those that bring together civil society and local actors to deliver community needs, and second and third tier cooperatives whose members are other cooperatives.

Coöperatie
De coöperatie is een vorm van zelforganisatie van producenten of verbruikers, gericht op het vergroten van de economische macht en het behalen van schaalvoordeel. De wet in België, Nederland en andere landen maakt het bestaan van een ‘coöperatieve vereniging’ mogelijk.

Coopérative
Une coopérative est la combinaison d'un regroupement de personnes et d'une entreprise fondée sur la participation économique des membres, en capital et en opérations. Son organisation et son fonctionnement sont caractérisés par des principes et des valeurs qui confèrent à chaque coopérative un caractère universel, quel que soit son objet ou son secteur d'activité. Une partie de ces principes et valeurs, comme la démocratie à travers l'égalité de voix entre les membres, est traduite en norme juridique.

شرکت تعاوني
شرکت تعاوني(Co-operative) مشارکتي است که عده‌اي از افرادي که هم‌صنف يا تناسبي مشابه دارند مثلاً همسايه، دوست، خويشاوند يا همشهري هستند براي دستيابي به منافع مشترک گردهم مي‌آيند و در حقيقت بهم کمک مي‌کنند و براي تهيه مسکن يا خريد مايحتاج يا کسب اعتبار و وام تعاوني درست مي‌کنند، سرمايه معيني را درميان مي‌گذارند و دسته‌جمعي مشکل را حل مينمايند. در واقع اعضاي شرکت در کنار يکديگر، جمعيتي کوچک را پديد مي‌آورند که بعنوان مثال در تهيه کالاهاي مورد نياز اعضا، با جمع‌آوري پول جزئي که هر عضو مي‌پردازد کالاي مورد احتياج اعضا را از دست اول خريداري و به همان قيمت تمام شده يا سود خيلي جزئي به اعضا مي‌فروشد و به ين طريق واسطه‌هاي غير ضروري در کسب و تجارت و صاحبان اين گونه مشاغل کاذب حذف مي‌گردند.
