diastolic

Diastole is the part of the cardiac cycle when the heart refills with blood following systole (contraction). Ventricular diastole is the period during which the ventricles are filling and relaxing, while atrial diastole is the period during which the atria are relaxing. The term diastole originates from the Greek word διαστολη, meaning dilation. Diastole is closely related to the phenomenon of recoil within ballistics.

Die Diastole der Kammern des Herzens (griechisch διαστολή „die Ausdehnung“) ist die Entspannungs- und Füllungsphase, im Gegensatz zur Systole, der Anspannungs- und Austreibungsphase. Die Diastole der Vorhöfe findet während der Systole der Kammern statt.

Diastole (uitspraak diAAstolé) is de medische naam voor de fase waarin het hart zich ontspant en weer volzuigt met bloed. Deze fase duurt, in rust, 0,4 seconden.

La diastole (du grec διαστολή qui signifie expansion) est la période au cours de laquelle le cœur se relâche après s'être contracté. On parle de diastole ventriculaire quand les ventricules se relâchent, et de diastole auriculaire ou  atriale lorsque les atriums (ou bien oreillettes) se relâchent. Au repos, le temps de diastole du cœur est d'environ 0,49 secondes.
