Dispatcher
Dispatchers are communications personnel responsible for receiving and transmitting pure and reliable messages, tracking vehicles and equipment, and recording other important information. A number of organizations, including police and fire departments, emergency medical services, motorcycle couriers, taxicab providers, trucking companies, railroads, and public utility companies, use dispatchers to relay information and coordinate their operations. Essentially, the dispatcher is the "conductor" of the force, and is responsible for the direction of all units within it.

Dispatcher
Ein Dispatcher (engl. ‚abschicken‘, ‚abfertigen‘) steuert auf der Leitungsebene eines Betriebes den optimalen Einsatz der zur Verfügung stehenden Mittel und gewährleistet den entsprechenden Informationsfluss. In der Regel unterstützt der Dispatcher die ausführenden Personen bei der Fehlerbehebung. Er leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag, um Abläufe störungsfrei zu gestalten.

Flugdienstberater
Ein Flugdienstberater ist ein Mitarbeiter einer Fluggesellschaft, der für die Flugvorbereitung und die bodenseitige Betreuung von Flügen zuständig ist. Weitere gebräuchliche Bezeichnungen für diesen Beruf sind „Dispatcher“ sowie „Flight Operations Officer“ (FOO) und „Flight Operations Controller“ (FOC).

Dispatcher
In informatica il dispatcher è un modulo del sistema operativo che passa effettivamente il controllo della CPU ai processi scelti dallo scheduler a breve termine. Poiché si attiva a ogni context switch, il dispatcher dovrebbe essere quanto più rapido possibile. Il tempo richiesto dal dispatcher per fermare un processo e avviare l'esecuzione di un altro è noto come latenza di dispatch.

Диспетчер
Диспетчер — специальный сотрудник, ответственный за получение и передачу сообщений, слежение за движением транспортных средств и оборудования и запись всей поступающей информации.
Ряд организаций, таких как милиция и пожарная служба, скорая медицинская помощь, такси, служба грузовых перевозок, железнодорожные службы и другие обслуживающие компании используют диспетчеров для получения информации о вызовах и координации своих действий.
В более широком смысле — должностное лицо, отвечающее за координацию каких-либо действий в определённой сфере. Отличительным свойством является стекание к диспетчеру с периферии большого объема информации, который структурируется и направляется в нужном направлении.
