Dried fruit
Dried fruit is fruit from which the majority of the original water content has been removed either naturally, through sun drying, or through the use of specialized dryers or dehydrators. Dried fruit has a long tradition of use dating back to the fourth millennium BC in Mesopotamia, and is prized because of its sweet taste, nutritive value, and long shelf life.

Trockenobst
Trockenobst (auch Trockenfrucht oder Dörrobst) ist gedörrtes Obst mit einer Restfeuchtigkeit von etwa 20 %. Daneben bezeichnet Dörrobst spezielle Sorten einer obstliefernden Pflanze, die sich ausdrücklich für die Herstellung von Trockenobst eignen. Die im Handel erhältlichen Mischungen von Dörrobst werden als Mischobst oder Backobst bezeichnet. Ein ähnliches Produkt sind Früchtewürfel, bei denen das Obst mit Zucker eingegekocht wird.

Сухофрукты
Сухофрукты — высушенные фрукты или ягоды, с остаточной влажностью около 20 %. Сушатся или естественным путём (например, на солнце), или путём промышленных методов (например, с помощью дегидратора).
Сухофрукты богаты витаминами (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6) и минеральными элементами (железо, кальций, магний, фосфор, калий, натрий), содержат порядка 250 ккал и 1,5 — 5 г белка на 100г. Они имеют длительный срок хранения и не требуют хранения в холодном месте. В этом — одно из их главных преимуществ, и в этом отношении они являются удобной альтернативой свежим фруктам (особенно во время не урожайного сезона). Однако, во время сушки, сухофрукт теряет большинство витамина C.
