edict

JMdict is a large machine-readable multilingual Japanese dictionary. As of August 2013, it contained Japanese–English translations for more than 170,000 entries, representing around 200,000 unique headword–reading combinations. Because the dictionary files are free to use (with attribution), they have been widely adopted on the Internet and are used in many computer and smartphone applications. This project is considered a standard Japanese–English reference on the Internet and is used by the Unihan Database and several other Japanese–English projects.

An edict is an announcement of a law, often associated with monarchism. The Pope and various micronational leaders are currently the only persons who still issue edicts.

Ein Edikt (von lat. edicere „verordnen“, „bekanntmachen“) bezeichnet im römischen Recht öffentliche Erklärungen des Magistrats, besonders die der Prätoren zu Grundsätzen der Anwendung des Rechts (Rechtsschutzverheißung) während ihrer Amtszeit. Später wurden damit auch Gesetze des Kaisers bezeichnet.

Een edict (Latijn: edicere, verkondigen) is een aankondiging van een wet. Meestal geschiedt dit bij een monarchie. De paus en enkele andere hoogwaardigheidsbekleders (koningen of gouverneurs) zijn de enigen die vaak een edict uitvaardigen.

Le projet EDICT a été lancé en 1991 par Jim Breen dans le but de fournir un dictionnaire nippo-anglais complet, gratuit et sous licence libre. Il a depuis été fréquemment mis à jour par plusieurs volontaires. EDICT existe principalement sous forme de fichier texte, d'autres programmes étant nécessaires pour y rechercher des informations, et les utiliser. Ce projet est considéré comme une référence du Web en matière de dictionnaire nippo-anglais, et est notamment utilisé par le projet Unihan et d'autres projets nippo-anglais.

Dans la Rome antique, un édit est un acte officiel émanant d'une autorité. Le plus célèbre fut l'édit de Caracalla, permettant la citoyenneté à tous les hommes libre de la cité (non esclaves).

Edykt (łac. edictum) – opublikowane zarządzenie lub obwieszczenie, wydawane przez rzymskich urzędników w ramach przysługującego im imperium, ważne przez cały rok urzędowy lub krótszy, z góry określony czas. W węższym znaczeniu sam przepis prawny zawarty w takim akcie.
