filiation

Filiation is the legal term that refers to the recognized legal status of the relationship between family members, or more specifically the legal relationship between parent and child. As described by the Government of Quebec:

Filiation is the relationship which exists between a child and the child’s parents, whether the parents are of the same or the opposite sex. The relationship can be established by blood, by law in certain cases, or by a judgment of adoption. Once filiation has been established, it creates rights and obligations for both the child and the parents, regardless of the circumstances of the child’s birth.

Filiation (lateinisch filius „Sohn“, filia „Tochter“: „Abstammung“) steht für:

• Abstammung einer Person von einer anderen
• Abstammungsregel, Deszendenzsystem, gesellschaftliche Regeln zur Abstammung und Erbfolge
• Abstammungsnachweis, rechtsgültiger Beleg der ehelichen Abstammung von den leiblichen Eltern
• Filiation (Zisterzienser), Organisationsstruktur von Klöstern des Ordens

La filiation est la transmission de la parenté lorsqu'une personne descend d'une autre.

La paternité est la reconnaissance sociale du lien de parenté entre un père et un enfant.

En filial (av latin filius, ’son’) är en självständig underavdelning under en annan inrättning av samma slag, till exempel filialkontor, i motsats till huvudkontor.

Otcovství ci paternita je vztah otce k díteti, podobne jako materství je vztah matky k díteti. Otcovství je spolecenský model, který se prizpusobuje potrebám spolecnosti. Otcovství není nikde presne stanovené a presne definované. Záleží jen na mužích, jakou cestou se vydají a vytvorí vlastní verzi, která bude splnovat jak jejich požadavky, tak požadavky dítete a rodiny. Otec se v ideálním prípade spolu s matkou podílí na materiálním zabezpecení, výžive a výchove dítete, utvárení morálních hodnot, odhalování skrytých talentu a rozvoji osobnosti dítete. Nekterí autori rozlišují otcovství:

• biologické – biologickým otcem je ten, jehož sperma oplodnilo matku dítete;
• sociální – sociálním otcem je ten, který vuci díteti zajímá roli otce bez ohledu na pokrevní príbuznost. Je to ten, kdo díte vychovává a koho díte jako otce prijímá. Muže to být biologický otec, ale i otcím, biologický ded, starší bratr a podobne.

Stejne tak lze ve vyhranených prípadech rozlišit typy otcovství: autoritár, živitel, nositel mužské role, pecovatel a vychovatel. Otcovství se od materství liší nejen biologickými realitami tehotenství, porodu a kojení dítete, ale v raném veku dítete i obvykle castejšími každodenními pecovatelskými aktivitami matky.
