hemorrhagic

Bleeding, technically known as hemorrhaging or haemorrhaging (see American and British spelling differences), is blood escaping from the circulatory system. Bleeding can occur internally, where blood leaks from blood vessels inside the body, or externally, either through a natural opening such as the mouth, nose, ear, urethra, vagina or anus, or through a break in the skin. Hypovolemia is a massive decrease in blood volume, and death by excessive loss of blood is referred to as exsanguination. Typically, a healthy person can endure a loss of 10–15% of the total blood volume without serious medical difficulties (by comparison, blood donation typically takes 8–10% of the donor's blood volume). The stopping or controlling of bleeding is called hemostasis and is an important part of both first aid and surgery.

Eine Blutung, auch Hämorrhagie (altgriechisch: αἱμορραγία – Blutfluss, Blutsturz (αἷμα – Blut), latinisiert: haemorrhagia), ist das Austreten von Blut aus einem beliebigen Bereich der Blutbahn bzw. des Blutkreislaufs. Blutungen sind aus allen Gefäßen des Körperkreislaufs oder des Lungenkreislaufs möglich.

Een versterkte bloedingsneiging (medische term: hemorragische diathese) bestaat als iemand makkelijker of langer bloedt dan normaal. Dit kan op verschillende wijzen ontstaan:

• verhoogde afbraak
• autoantistoffen
• Idiopathische trombocytopenische purpura (ITP); de oorzaak van het tekort aan bloedplaatjes is een autoantistof tegen bloedplaatjes, waardoor de afbraak sneller verloopt dan de aanmaak, die meestal sterk verhoogd is.
• allo-antistoffen
• neonatale trombocytopenie
• posttransfusie-purpura
• geneesmiddelafhankelijke immuniteit
• splenomegalie (een vergrote milt kan meer trombocyten wegvangen dan goed is)
• intravasale stolling
• een anaplasma platys infectie, deze bacterie veroorzaakt trombocytopenie 
• immuun-gemedieerde trombocytopenie, dit kan door immuunziekten, medicijngebruik en infecties veroorzaakt worden.

Une hémorragie (du latin haemorrhagia) est un saignement, un écoulement du sang en dehors de son circuit naturel constitué par le cœur et les vaisseaux sanguins (veines et artères).
