internationale

"The Internationale" is a widely-sung Left-wing anthem. It has been one of the most recognizable and popular songs of the socialist movement since the late 19th century, when the Second International (now the Socialist International) adopted it as its official anthem. The title arises from the "First International", an alliance of workers which held a congress in 1864. The author of the anthem's lyrics, Eugène Pottier, attended this congress.

Internationale bezeichnet in erster Linie den Zusammenschluss von Arbeiterorganisationen aus verschiedenen Ländern, die ideologisch von sozialistischen, kommunistischen oder anarchistischen Zielvorstellungen geprägt sind. Heutzutage am bekanntesten ist die sozialdemokratische Sozialistische Internationale.

Internationale is de naam van een socialistisch strijdlied en van een aantal historische arbeidersbewegingen en congressen. Zie hiervoor:

De Internationale is een strijdlied van de arbeidersbeweging, gecomponeerd door Pierre De Geyter, dat door de Tweede Internationale in 1892 als officieel strijdlied van de beweging werd geproclameerd. Tot 1944 was het ook het volkslied van de Sovjet-Unie.

L'Internationale est un chant révolutionnaire dont les paroles furent écrites en 1871 par Eugène Pottier et la musique composée par Pierre Degeyter en 1888.
