Lambda (uppercase , lowercase ; lam(b)da) is the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals lambda has a value of 30. Lambda is related to the Phoenician letter Lamed . Letters in other alphabets that stemmed from lambda include the Latin L and the Cyrillic letter El (Л, л). The ancient grammarians and dramatists give evidence to the pronunciation as in Classical Greek times. In Modern Greek the name of the letter, Λάμδα, is pronounced ; the spoken letter itself has the sound of as with Latinate "L".

De lambda (hoofdletter Λ, kleine letter λ, Nieuwgrieks: λάμδα of λάμβδα) is de elfde letter van het Griekse alfabet en is equivalent met de L. In Westerse landen wordt ook de op het Oudgrieks gebaseerde spelling en uitspraak labda (Grieks: λάβδα) gebruikt.

Lambda (capitale Λ, minuscule λ ; en grec ) est la  lettre de l'alphabet grec, précédée par kappa et suivie par mu. Dérivée de la lettre lamda  de l'alphabet phénicien, elle est l'ancêtre de la lettre L de l'alphabet latin et de la lettre Л de l'alphabet cyrillique.

Il lambda (Λ; λ), o labda, secondo la sua pronuncia in greco antico, è l'undicesima lettera dell'alfabeto greco, e si traslittera con la lettera l (elle) italiana. È, col ro, una consonante liquida. Nel sistema di numerazione dei greci d'età ellenistica, era il segno usato per il numero 30 (con un trattino in alto a destra; con un trattino in basso a sinistra, rappresentava invece il 30.000).
