Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs (officially the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club) are a Canadian professional ice hockey team based in Toronto, Ontario, that competes in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Maple Leafs are a member club of the league's Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. The team is one of the "Original Six" league members. They are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Ltd. and are represented by Chairman Larry Tanenbaum. In February 1999, they moved to the Air Canada Centre, which replaced Maple Leaf Gardens, the team's home since 1931.

Toronto Maple Leafs
Die Toronto Maple Leafs (IPA: ; offiziell Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club) sind ein kanadisches Eishockeyfranchise der National Hockey League aus Toronto in der Provinz Ontario. Die Mannschaft wurde als Toronto Arenas im Jahr 1917 gegründet und nahm zu Beginn der Saison 1917/18 den Spielbetrieb auf. Nach mehreren Umbenennungen firmiert der Verein seit 1927 als Toronto Maple Leafs, seit 1928 sind die Teamfarben wieder Blau und Weiß. Die Heimspiele werden seit 1999 im Air Canada Centre ausgetragen, das sich, wie auch die Mannschaft, im Besitz der Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment befindet.

Toronto Maple Leafs
De Toronto Maple Leafs zijn een professioneel ijshockeyteam uit Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ze komen uit in de NHL en zijn ingedeeld in de Northeast Division van de Eastern Conference. De officiële benaming is “Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club”. Ook worden vaak de verkorte namen gebruikt zoals “Maple Leafs” of “Leafs”.

Blad
Een blad is een orgaan van de varens en de zaadplanten. Ook mossen hebben een soort van bladeren, niet te verwarren met echte bladeren, hier zijn het namelijk organen van de gametofyt, die bovendien in bouw afwijken van "echte" bladeren. Andere plantaardige organismen als algen ontwikkelen geen bladeren, hoewel bij sommige bruinwieren, zoals kelp, bladachtige structuren aanwezig zijn. Deze mogen geen bladeren genoemd worden.

Maple Leafs de Toronto
Les Maple Leafs de Toronto sont une franchise de hockey sur glace professionnel. Aujourd'hui, le club des Maple Leafs de Toronto fait partie de la Ligue nationale de hockey (LNH) et est situé à Toronto, au Canada. Par le passé, l'équipe a porté les noms d'Arenas de Toronto de 1917 à 1919 puis de Saint-Patricks de Toronto de 1919 à 1926.
