Liability
A liability can mean something that is a hindrance or puts an individual or group at a disadvantage, or something someone is responsible for, or something that increases the chance of something occurring (i.e., it is a cause).

Passiva
In economie en bedrijfskunde zijn passiva de bronnen waarmee een onderneming gefinancierd is, in feite al het geld dat in de onderneming geïnvesteerd is. Het tegenovergestelde begrip van passiva is activa.

Passif (comptabilité)
Le passif est l'ensemble des ressources d'une entreprise (une ressource à employer pour l'entreprise).
Le passif est un élément du patrimoine ayant une valeur économique négative pour l’entreprise, c'est-à-dire une obligation de l'entité à l'égard d'un tiers dont il est probable ou certain qu'elle provoquera une sortie de ressources au bénéfice de ce tiers, sans contrepartie au moins équivalente attendue de celui-ci (article 212.1 du Plan comptable Général français).
Le passif est un élément du patrimoine ayant une valeur économique négative pour l’entreprise, c'est-à-dire une obligation de l'entité à l'égard d'un tiers dont il est probable ou certain qu'elle provoquera une sortie de ressources au bénéfice de ce tiers, sans contrepartie au moins équivalente attendue de celui-ci (article 212.1 du Plan comptable Général français).

Пассив — часть бухгалтерского баланса (правая сторона), от лат. - недеятельный)- совокупность долгов и обязательств предприятия (в противоположность активу); обозначающая источники образования средств предприятия, его финансирования, сгруппированные по их составу, принадлежности и назначению: собственные резервы, займы других учреждений и т. п.
