Library/Southwest 9th Avenue and Galleria/Southwest 10th Avenue are light rail stops on the MAX Blue and Red Lines in Portland, Oregon. It was the original western terminus and is now the Eastside MAX line's first stop eastbound/last stop westbound in downtown.

A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library's collection can include books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microform, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats. Libraries range in size from a few shelves of books to several million items. In Latin and Greek, the idea of bookcase is represented by Bibliotheca and Bibliothēkē (Greek: βιβλιοθήκη): derivatives of these mean library in many modern languages, e.g. French bibliothèque.

Eine Bibliothek oder Bücherei ist eine Dienstleistungseinrichtung, die ihren Benutzern Medien zur Verfügung stellt. Diese Medien können Informationen enthalten (wie etwa Sachbücher) oder der Unterhaltung dienen (wie etwa Musik-CDs). Zugang und Benutzung sind meist frei und kostenlos, Entlehnungen gegen eine geringe Jahresgebühr möglich. Die meisten Bibliotheken werden mit Steuergeld finanziert; aber auch kirchliche, öffentlich-rechtliche und private Organisationen sowie Unternehmen unterhalten Bibliotheken.

Eine Programmbibliothek bezeichnet in der Programmierung eine Sammlung von Unterprogrammen/-Routinen, die Lösungswege für thematisch zusammengehörende Problemstellungen anbieten. Bibliotheken sind im Unterschied zu Programmen keine eigenständig lauffähigen Einheiten, sondern sie enthalten Hilfsmodule, die von (anderen) Programmen angefordert werden.

In de informatica is een bibliotheek (Engels: library) een verzameling code (functies/routines) die door programma's kunnen worden gebruikt. Het voordeel hiervan is dat programmeurs geen (nieuwe) code hoeven te schrijven voor bepaalde algemene bewerkingen. Ze kunnen simpelweg de functies aanroepen die zich in de bibliotheek bevinden.

Il existe des bibliothèques privées (y compris de riches bibliothèques ouvertes au public) et des bibliothèques publiques. Les bibliothèques proposent souvent d'autres documents (journaux, périodiques, enregistrements sonores, enregistrements vidéo, cartes et plans, partitions, etc.) ainsi que des accès à internet et sont parfois appelées médiathèques ou informathèques.
