Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and Chinese folklore. The dragons have many animal-like forms such as turtles, fish, and imaginary creatures, but they are most commonly depicted as snake-like with four legs. In yin and yang terminology, a dragon is yang and complements a yin fenghuang ("Chinese phoenix").

Long/short equity is an investment strategy  generally associated with hedge funds, and more recently certain progressive traditional asset managers. It involves buying long equities that are expected to increase in value and selling short equities that are expected to decrease in value. This is different from the risk reversal strategies where investors will simultaneously buy a call option and sell a put option to simulate being long in a stock.

Longitude ( or , British also ), is a geographic coordinate that specifies the east-west position of a point on the Earth's surface. It is an angular measurement, usually expressed in degrees and denoted by the Greek letter lambda (λ). Meridians (lines running from the North Pole to the South Pole) connect points with the same longitude. By convention, one of these, the Prime Meridian, which passes through the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, England, was allocated the position of zero degrees longitude. The longitude of other places is measured as the angle east or west from the Prime Meridian, ranging from 0° at the Prime Meridian to +180° eastward and −180° westward. Specifically, it is the angle between a plane containing the Prime Meridian and a plane containing the North Pole, South Pole and the location in question. (This forms a right-handed coordinate system with the z axis (right hand thumb) pointing from the Earth's center toward the North Pole and the x axis (right hand index finger) extending from Earth's center through the equator at the Prime Meridian.)

A longtang (弄堂 lòngtáng, Shanghainese: longdang) is a lane in Shanghai and, by extension, a community centred on a lanes or several interconnected lanes. It is sometimes called lilong (里弄); the latter name incorporates the -li suffix often used in the name of residential developments in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Shanghai longdang is loosely equivalent to the hutong of Beijing. As with the term hutong, the Shanghai longdang can either refers to the lanes that the houses face onto, or a group of houses connected by the lane.

Die geographische Länge (auch Längengrad oder nur Länge, λ, longitudo, longitude, international abgekürzt mit long oder LON) beschreibt eine der beiden Koordinaten eines Ortes auf der Erdoberfläche, und zwar seine Position östlich oder westlich einer definierten (willkürlich festgelegten) Nord-Süd-Linie, des Nullmeridians.

Lóng, der chinesische Drache, ist das wohl bekannteste Fabelwesen Chinas, wenn nicht des gesamten ostasiatischen Kulturkreises.

Le dragon oriental est l'un des deux grands types de dragons et s'oppose au dragon européen dans le sens qu'il n'est pas automatiquement mauvais. Il représente les forces de la nature et dès lors doit être considéré avec précaution car, comme la nature, il peut être dangereux. Différentes formes, aux noms différents, existent en Asie, néanmoins de morphologie assez semblable. Le dragon chinois est le plus représentatif de tous, créature de la civilisation chinoise qui régna sur une grande partie de l'Asie. À travers les cultures orientales se retrouve la symbolique du dragon en tant que représentant de l'empereur ou du représentant du pouvoir. Il existe dans l'astrologie chinoise un signe du dragon, que l'on retrouve de fait, les mêmes années, dans l'astrologie coréenne, japonaise, mongole, tibétaine et vietnamienne.

La longitude est une coordonnée géographique représentée par une valeur angulaire, expression du positionnement est-ouest d'un point sur Terre (ou sur une autre sphère). La longitude de référence sur Terre est le méridien de Greenwich.
