Luminosity
In astronomy, luminosity is the total amount of energy emitted by a star, galaxy, or other astronomical object per unit time. It is related to the brightness, which is the luminosity of an object in a given spectral region.

In der Physik versteht man unter der Leuchtkraft, L, die pro Zeit abgestrahlte Energie, d. h. die über alle Bereiche des elektromagnetischen Spektrums summierte Strahlungsleistung.

Lichtkracht
In de astronomie wordt onder de lichtkracht (luminositeit, helderheid) van een ster verstaan het totaal uitgezonden vermogen in de vorm van elektromagnetische straling. De lichtkracht is afhankelijk van de effectieve temperatuur van de ster en z'n omvang. De lichtkracht wordt uitgedrukt in Watt of in eenheden van de lichtkracht van de zon.

Luminositet
Luminositet, storhet inom astronomi. Luminositeten är ett mått på stjärnans ljusstyrka och brukar räknas i jämförelse med solen. Luminositeten är anknuten till den absoluta magnituden - ju större luminositet desto mindre magnitud.
