East Syriac: Mar or West Syriac: Mor (as pronounced respectively in eastern and western dialects, from , , written with a silent final yodh) is a title of respect in Syriac, literally meaning 'my lord'. It is given to all saints and is also used before Christian name of bishops. The corresponding feminine form given to women saints is Mart or Mort (, ). The title is placed before the Christian name, as in Mar Aprem/Mor Afrem and Mart/Mort Maryam. This is the original meaning of the name Martha 'A Lady'.

Märchen Awakens Romance, officially abbreviated as , is a manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Anzai. The anime television series based on the series is titled and was originally broadcast in Japan on the TXN station.

The Gospel According to Mark (, to kata Markon euangelion), the second book of the New Testament, is one of the four canonical gospels and the three synoptic gospels. It was traditionally thought to be an epitome (summary) of Matthew, which accounts for its place as the second gospel in the Bible, but most scholars now regard it as the earliest of the gospels. Most modern scholars reject the tradition which ascribes it to Mark the Evangelist, the companion of Peter, and regard it as the work of an unknown author working with various sources including collections of miracle stories, controversy stories, parables, and a passion narrative.

Eine Mär ist im ursprünglichen Sinne ein Bericht oder eine Erzählung; in der Gegenwartssprache wird die Bezeichnung vor allem abwertend für moderne Sagen und andere Geschichten oder Vorstellungen verwendet, die sich als falsch herausgestellt haben. Letztere Verwendung tritt nach dem Deutschen Wörterbuch bereits im 15. bis 17. Jahrhundert auf, die Verkleinerungsform Märchen oder „Märlein“ wurde ebenfalls als Abgrenzung für eine unwahre Geschichte verwendet.

Das Evangelium nach Markus (auch Markusevangelium; kurz: Mark oder Mk) ist das zweite Buch des Neuen Testaments in der christlichen Bibel. Mit 16 Kapiteln ist es das kürzeste der vier kanonischen Evangelien. Im Griechischen trägt es den Titel euangelion kata Markon , also: „Gute Botschaft nach Markus“.

Se trata de una serie de fantasía y aventura producida en forma de manga. Su autor es Nobuyuki Anzai, y consta de 15 tomos en total en Japón, siendo editada en España por la editorial Ivrea. Se ha realizado una transformación al anime, que lleva el mismo nombre que el manga, hecho por TV Tokyo, y que lleva un total de 102 episodios actualmente. Nótese que, a pesar de ser originalmente escrita en Japonés, la serie utiliza varias palabras de otros idiomas en varias partes ("Marchen" significa Cuento de Hadas en Alemán) incluyendo los nombres de algunos personajes y sus poderes. En el 2006, se anunció que habría una secuela titulada MÄR-Omega.
