军事单位
軍事單位是指可能由任意數量的士兵、軍艦、飛行器……等所組成的一個武裝部隊。陸軍、海軍與空軍等軍種通常依據功能、戰術或管理的目地將各種軍事單位-{A|zh:編制;zh-hans:编制;zh-hant:編制;}-成各種不定大小的階層化組織。

技術上而言，軍事單位通常指如同步兵營或者騎兵團等單一功能的部隊，且經常以單位為準下達管理或軍事命令。相對之下，連、排、班等更小規模的組織則為營或團的次級單位，而營或團則為連、排、班的上級單位。

如旅級以上更高階的軍事單位稱為隊列，所謂隊列是指一群獨立單位的集合，而每個單位都具有獨立的指揮系統。
