Nór (Old Norse Nórr) or Nori is firstly a mercantile title and secondly a Norse man's name. It is stated in Norse sources that Nór was the founder of Norway, from whom the land supposedly got its name. (The name in fact probably derives from ‘nórðrvegr’, ‘northern way’.)

Noer is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

In chemical nomenclature, nor- is a prefix to name a structural analog that can be derived from a parent compound by the removal of one carbon atom along with the accompanying hydrogen atoms. The nor-compound can be derived by removal of a , , or CH group, or of a C atom. The "nor-" prefix also includes the elimination of a methylene bridge in a cyclic parent compound, followed by ring contraction. Noer (dänisch: Nør) ist eine Gemeinde im Kreis Rendsburg-Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein. Sie besteht aus den beiden Ortsteilen Noer und Lindhöft.
