The Big Five personality traits, also known as the five factor model (FFM), is a widely examined theory of five broad dimensions used by some psychologists to describe the human personality and psyche. The five factors have been defined as openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Acronyms to aid in remembering the five traits include OCEAN and CANOE. Beneath each proposed global factor, a number of correlated and more specific primary factors are claimed. For example, extraversion is said to include such related qualities as gregariousness, assertiveness, excitement seeking, warmth, activity, and positive emotions.

Oceans is a 2009 French-American nature documentary film directed, produced, co-written, and narrated by Jacques Perrin, with Jacques Cluzaud as co-director. The film explores the marine species of Earth's five oceans and reflects on the negative aspects of human activity on the environment. Disneynature released the film in the United States on April 22, 2010 (Earth Day), with narration provided by Pierce Brosnan. It was the nature label's third release following Earth and The Crimson Wing in 2009. Intended for a younger audience, the North American version is twenty minutes shorter than the original French version of the film, which depicts violent massacres of sea animals, recreated through visual effects.

"Oceans" is een nummer van de Amerikaanse rockband Pearl Jam, afkomstig van het debuutalbum Ten uit 1991. De tekst is geschreven door zanger Eddie Vedder en de muziek door Vedder, Stone Gossard en Jeff Ament. Oceans is in 1992 als vierde single van Ten uitgegeven. De eerste singles waren Alive, Even Flow en Jeremy.

Océans (Engelse titel: Oceans) is een natuurdocumentaire uit 2009 van de Franse regisseur Jacques Perrin. De film toont beelden van het leven in de vijf oceanen op aarde. De film had een budget van vijftig miljoen euro en werd in vier jaar tijd gefilmd op vijftig verschillende locaties. De versie die door Disneynature werd uitgebracht in de VS en Canada, is 20 minuten korter dan de versie voor de rest van de wereld omdat zij werd gemonteerd voor een jong publiek. Scènes waarin te zien is hoe mensen slachtingen aanrichten onder zeedieren, werden door Disney uit de film gelaten.

Océans, dont le titre est également graphié Océans, est un documentaire français réalisé par Jacques Perrin et Jacques Cluzaud dont le tournage a commencé en 2004 et qui est sorti en 2009 dans quelques festivals puis en 2010 dans les salles.

Un océan est souvent défini, en géographie, comme une vaste étendue d'eau salée. En fait, il s'agit plutôt d'un volume, dont l'eau est en permanence renouvelée par des courants marins. Approximativement 71,1% de la surface de la Terre est recouverte par l'océan mondial, communément divisé en cinq océans et en plusieurs dizaines de mers.
