Along with its subsidiaries, is one of the largest telecom groups in South Eastern Europe. OTE Group offers broadband services, fixed and mobile telephony, high-speed data communications and leased lines services. In addition, the Group in Greece is involved in a range of activities, notably satellite communications, real-estate and professional training. At present, OTE companies employ about 30,000 people in 4 countries. Formerly a state-owned monopoly, OTE's privatization started in 1996 and is now listed on the Athens and London Stock Exchanges.

Der Staat hält noch 10 % und die Deutsche Telekom 40 % plus eine Aktie der Anteile an der Gesellschaft, deren Aktien an den Athener Börse und der New York Stock Exchange gehandelt werden und im Athex Composite Share Price Index gelistet sind. Die unternehmerische Führung liegt bei der Deutschen Telekom.

OTE N.V. (Grieks: Οργανισμός Τηλεπικοινωνιών Ελλάδος Α.Ε.) is het grootste telecombedrijf van Griekenland. Voorheen was het een staatsbedrijf maar in 1998 is het bedrijf gedeeltelijk geprivatiseerd. De OTE is genoteerd aan de Effectenbeurs van Athene en de London Stock Exchange. Op 28 juni 2011 ging het Griekse parlement akkoord met een verdere verkoop van het staatsaandeel van de OTE.
