Package may refer to:

• Packaging and labeling, the science, art, and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale, and use

• Chip package or chip carrier, in electronics, the material added around a component or integrated circuit to allow it to be handled without damage and incorporated into a circuit
• Electronic packaging, an area of study in electrical engineering regarding the enclosures and protective feature of an electronic device
• Automotive package, in automobile production and marketing, a group of related features sold as a bundle

Package (engl. Paket) bezeichnet:

• in der Elektronik die Ummantelung eines integrierten Schaltkreises (z. B. Mikrochip) inklusive der Anschlussstellen (Leads und Pins), siehe Chipgehäuse
• im Kontext von Betriebssystem-Distributionen ein Programmpaket
• innerhalb des Computer-Algebra-Systems Maple eine Kollektion von zusammen gehörenden Routinen und Daten, siehe Maple (Software)
• eine Sammlung von zusammengehörenden Java-Klassen; siehe Java-Syntax – Pakete, Namen, Klassen, Schnittstellen
• im Fahrzeugbau ist das Package die geometrische und funktionale Anordnung von Bauteilen und unterschiedlichen Ausstattungsvarianten, einschließlich des Managements des Bauraums (Gesamtheit aller Teile mit ihrer geometrischen Anordnung) eines Automobils 

D'une manière générale, le mot paquetage désigne un ensemble de plusieurs entités regroupées en une seule. Plus particulièrement, il peut être employé dans différents domaines avec une signification différente :

• dans le domaine militaire, un paquetage est l'ensemble des équipements personnels remis à une recrue lors de son incorporation dans une unité ;
• en informatique :
  • en génie logiciel, un paquetage ou paquet est une archive comprenant les fichiers informatiques, les informations et procédures nécessaires à l'installation d'un logiciel sur un système d'exploitation. Ainsi APT, RPM et URPMI sont les principaux gestionnaires de paquetages pour Linux ;
  • en programmation, et plus particulièrement dans la terminologie de certains langages (Ada, Java, Common Lisp), le terme paquetage est le nom donné aux bibliothèques logicielles et sert aussi à la partition des espaces de noms.
