Peroxide
A peroxide is a compound containing an oxygen–oxygen single bond or the peroxide anion, O. The O-O group is called the peroxide group or peroxo group. In contrast to oxide ions, the oxygen atoms in the peroxide ion have an oxidation state of -1.

Peroxide
Peroxide, veraltet auch Peroxyde geschrieben, sind eine chemische Stoffgruppe, die das Peroxidanion O22- beziehungsweise eine Peroxygruppe –O–O– enthalten. Im Gegensatz zum Oxidion, dem häufigsten Anion des Sauerstoffs, besitzen die Sauerstoffatome im Peroxidion die Oxidationsstufe -1.

Peroxyde
Un peroxyde est un composé chimique contenant un groupe fonctionnel de formule générale R-O-O-R' (abrégé peroxo quand il est mis en préfixe). Ces composés comportent une plus grande quantité d'oxygène qu'un oxyde normal. Les peroxydes sont des oxydants très actifs et peuvent être utilisés comme comburants dans des explosifs ou des propergols.
