promulgation

Promulgation is the formal proclamation or declaration that a new statutory or administrative law has come into force and effect after its final approval. In some jurisdictions, this additional step is necessary before the law can take effect.

Die Promulgation ( ‚öffentlich verkünden‘) eines Gesetzes bedeutet, dass dieses durch die erste öffentliche Verlesung in Kraft gesetzt wird.

En droit public, la promulgation est l'acte par lequel le chef de l'État constate qu'une loi a été régulièrement adoptée par le Parlement. À partir du moment où un décret de promulgation a eu lieu, le texte est intégré dans l'ordonnancement juridique, et entre en vigueur.

Promulgacja (łac. promulgatio) – pot. ogłoszenie każdego aktu normatywnego. Sensu stricto jest to jedynie ogłoszenie ustawy zarządzone przez głowę państwa, czym w ramach swoich kompetencji potwierdza, że ustawę uchwalono zgodnie z przepisami konstytucji oraz poleca wszystkim adresatom jej stosowanie.
