Remit, REMIT, or derivations thereof may refer to:

• Remittance, a transfer of money by a foreign worker to an individual in his or her home country
• Remittance advice, a letter sent by a customer to a supplier informing them that their invoice has been paid
• Remittance man, an emigrant in the 19th century, often to a British colony, supported or assisted by payment of money from their paternal home

Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) is an EU regulation designed to increase the transparency and stability of the European energy markets while combating insider trading and market manipulation. REMIT was adopted in the European Union in 2011. Part of the regulation went into immediate effect in all EU member states, with some obligations around registration and transaction reporting only coming into effect once the REMIT Implementing Acts have been passed. The EU agency ACER has been tasked with the supervision and regulation of energy markets in accordance with REMIT.

W dniu wprowadzenia rozporządzenia rynek energii elektrycznej stał się rynkiem podlegającym ścisłym, restrykcyjnym zasadom publikacji i jawności wszystkich informacji, które mogą mieć wpływ na ceny produktów energetycznych na hurtowym rynku energii, w tym bezwzględnemu zakazowi manipulacji rynkowej.
