Rism is a hamlet in Dhofar Governorate, in southwestern Oman.

The Répertoire International des Sources Musicales (RISM, English International Inventory of Musical Sources, German Internationales Quellenlexikon der Musik) is an international non-profit organisation, founded in Paris in 1952, with the aim of comprehensively documenting extant sources of music all over the world. It is the largest organisation of its kind and the only entity operating globally to document written musical sources. Shortly after its founding, A.H. King called RISM "one of the boldest pieces of long-term planning ever undertaken for the source material of any subject in the humanistic field."

Das (Abkürzung RISM, , ) ist eine 1952 in Paris gegründete, länderübergreifende und gemeinnützig orientierte Organisation mit dem Ziel, die weltweit überlieferten Quellen zur Musik umfassend zu dokumentieren. Die Organisation ist das größte und einzige global operierende Unternehmen zur Dokumentation schriftlicher musikalischer Quellen.

Le Répertoire international des sources musicales (abréviation courante RISM, en anglais : International Inventory of Musical Sources, en allemand : Internationales Quellenlexikon der Musik) est une organisation internationale d’utilité publique, créée à Paris en 1952, qui s’est fixé pour objectif de répertorier de manière exhaustive les sources musicales du monde entier transmises à la postérité. Cette entreprise bibliographique et scientifique de recensement des sources de la musique notée est la plus importante et la seule opérant mondialement.
