Sideband
In radio communications, a sideband is a band of frequencies higher than or lower than the carrier frequency, containing power as a result of the modulation process. The sidebands consist of all the Fourier components of the modulated signal except the carrier. All forms of modulation produce sidebands.

Seitenband
Seitenbänder nennt man die Frequenzbänder, die durch die Modulation in unmittelbarer Umgebung einer Trägerfrequenz erzeugt werden. Hierbei entstehen nach den Additionstheoremen für Winkelfunktionen Summen- und Differenzfrequenzen.

Enkelzijbandmodulatie
Enkelzijbandmodulatie (EZB) of Single Side Band-modulatie (SSB) is een vorm van modulatie waarbij van het oorspronkelijk amplitudegemoduleerde signaal alleen één zijband wordt uitgezonden, zonder de eigenlijke draaggolf.

Боковая полоса частот
При амплитудной модуляции возникают две полосы боковых частот — верхняя и нижняя.
Именно в боковых полосах частот передаётся информация. Ширина боковой полосы зависит от характера передаваемого сигнала. Для радиовещания обычно достаточно 10 кГц, для телевидения - 6 МГц.
