The Swedish ethyl acetate method (SweEt) is a method for chemical analysis of pesticide residues in food using ethyl acetate as an extraction medium followed by analysis with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS). It was developed by the Swedish National Food Agency (National Reference Laboratory for pesticide analysis) for quantitative analysis of over 500 pesticides in fruits, vegetables, cereals and products of animal origin.

Sweetness is one of the five basic tastes and is universally regarded as a pleasurable experience, except perhaps in excess. Foods rich in simple carbohydrates such as sugar are those most commonly associated with sweetness, although there are other natural and artificial compounds that are sweet at much lower concentrations, allowing their use as non-caloric sugar substitutes. Examples of foods that may be used as non-sugar sweet substitutes include saccharin, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, sucralose, xylitol, erythritol, and stevia. Other compounds, such as miraculin, may alter perception of sweetness itself.

Sweet (originalmente The Sweet) es una banda británica de música rock muy prominente y una de las principales del género glam rock existentes en la década de 1970, con la formación original compuesta por Brian Connolly (nacido el 5 de octubre de 1945 en Hamilton. Escocia), Steve Priest (nacido el 23 de febrero de 1948, en Hayes, Inglaterra), Frank Torpey, y Mick Tucker (nacido el 17 de julio de 1947, Harpenden, Inglaterra). Torpey más tarde fue sustituido por Mick Stewart y luego en agosto de 1970 por el definitivo Andy Scott (nacido el 30 de junio de 1949 en Wrexham, Gales).

The Sweet was een Engelse glamrockband met hoogtijdagen tussen 1971 en 1978. De band werd opgericht in 1968 als Sweetshop, later afgekort naar Sweet. De succesbezetting bestond uit Andy Scott (gitaar/zang), Steve Priest (bas/zang), Brian Connolly (zang) en Mick Tucker (drums/zang), waarvan de eerste twee nu nog in leven zijn. Kenmerkend van deze band is de hoge samenzang.
