Truly is an American rock band formed in the wake of the grunge era. It featured singer-guitarist Robert Roth, bassist Hiro Yamamoto, and drummer Mark Pickerel. Yamamoto and Pickerel were founding members respectively of Soundgarden and Screaming Trees. While not a commercially successful group like some of their Seattle contemporaries, the band lasted a decade with two studio albums to their name.

Truly es una banda americana de grunge originaria de la ciudad de Seattle, fundada por el ex- The Storybook Krooks Robert Roth, el ex-bajista de Soundgarden Hiro Yamamoto, y el ex-baterista de Screaming Trees Mark Pickerel, a principios de los 90’. En una entrevista realizada por Krist Novoselic en al año 1997, Robert Roth define al estilo de música de Truly como "Ciudad Espacial", y Mark Pickerel como "Rock Alternativo".

Truly est un groupe de musique grunge, formé en 1990 dans la ville de Seattle, berceau du genre. Il est dirigé par le multi-instrumentiste Robert Roth, autour duquel se sont réunis les bassiste et batteur Hiro Yamamoto et Mark Pickerel, respectivement ex-Soundgarden et Screaming Trees.

I Truly sono una band statunitense formata a Seattle nel 1989, in piena era grunge. La band era formata da Hiro Yamamoto, ex bassista e fondatore dei Soundgarden, dall'ex batterista degli Screaming Trees Mark Pickerel, ed infine da Robert Roth, cantante e chitarrista. Anche se la band non ottenne mai il successo commerciale che invece ottennero diversi loro concittadini, la band è stata attiva nella scena per un decennio, pubblicando due album. La band realizzò un Ep “Hearts and Lungs”, nel 1991 ed un cd di 4 brani, “Leslie's Coughing Up Blood”,uscito per la Sub Pop nel 1993. Il trio registrò il loro album di debutto “Fast Stories... from Kid Coma” durante il periodo 1992-94. Dopodiché firmarono un contratto con la Capitol Records che fece uscire il loro album in tutto il mondo, ottenendo responsi positivi della stampa, arrivando addirittura ad essere inserito nelle varie liste di “album dell'anno”. Un secondo album ,“Feeling You Up”,uscì nel 1997 per la Thick Records negli States,mentre nel resto del mondo uscì per la Cargo/Headhunter. Da notare che un brano tratto da quest'ultimo disco, “It's On Your Face”, fu utilizzato per intero nella serie tv via cavo First Wave, di Francis Ford Coppola. La band andò in pausa nel 1998. Il loro ultimo lavoro è “Twilight Curtains”, una compilation composta sia da materiale nuovo ed inedito che da varie demo, ed uscì nel 2000 per la Cargo/Headhunter.
