tyro

In Greek mythology, Tyro was the daughter of Salmoneus and married Cretheus, but loved Enipeus. She gave birth to Pelias and Neleus, the twin sons of Poseidon. With Cretheus she had Aeson, Pheres, and Amythaon.

Tyro ist in der griechischen Mythologie die Tochter des elischen Königs Salmoneus und der Alkidike. Sie war die Gemahlin des Kretheus, des Gründers von Iolkos, und gebar ihm die drei Söhne Aison, Pheres und Amythaon.

Tyro is een plaats (city) in de Amerikaanse staat Kansas, en valt bestuurlijk gezien onder Montgomery County.

Dans la mythologie grecque, Tyro (en grec ancien  / ) est la fille de Salmonée et d'Alcidicé. Elle a deux fils d'une première union avec Poséidon — Pélias et Nélée —, puis trois autres avec Créthée — Phérès, Éson et Amythaon.
