A girl is a female human from birth through childhood and adolescence to attainment of adulthood when she becomes a woman. The term girl may also be used to mean a young woman, and is often used as a synonym for daughter.

Girl (stylized as G I R L) is the second studio album by American recording artist and record producer Pharrell Williams. The album was released on March 3, 2014, through Williams' label i Am Other and Columbia Records. Girl was Williams' first studio album since his 2006 debut, In My Mind. It contains appearances by Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Daft Punk and Alicia Keys.

In Vlaanderen wordt juffrouw nog gebruikt in tegenstelling tot mevrouw in dezelfde vraagzin; men wil dan op een diplomatieke manier achterhalen of de jonge dame die men aanspreekt gehuwd is: "Is het juffrouw of mevrouw (+ familienaam bijvoorbeeld Van Sant)?".
